29 Apr 06 - 13 May 06 - Vietnam Adventure

My first fully paid for by myself trip. And it’s to Vietnam. 14 days of scorching hot weather. Learnt a lot about the Vietnam War, and learnt to see things in a new perspective. Humans will always survive through all these difficulties and come out stronger than ever. I believe that the weather was so unbearable was due to the war. There were absolutely no trees and what –so-ever. This is when, I realized, how true the saying is on Green Singapore.

Overall, it’s a okay trip. Love the beach at Nha Trang – aka doing nothing, the majestic view of the Cloud Mountain Pass, the unbelievable Halong Bay. The cities are not for me, I guess, since I am not the shopping kind of person.

Understood how APB makes money from Tiger Beer. Coke/juices were all more expensive than Beer of most brands. Had the best meal in KOTO (Know one Teach One) over at Hanoi.

I went with no expectations, and as such, I was charmed by Saigon for the first few days and the rest of the time, the beach.

This trip taught me to learn to be forgiving towards others (lessons from the Vietnam War), and move on in life no matter what happens. Time waits for no one.
